Fiberglass doors are more efficient and affordable than other door materials
- Fiberglass can be crafted to resemble wood, and is less expensive then wooden doors. They look as beautiful as real wood.
- These doors are also more durable than other door materials. They don’t rot like wood, or rust like steel.
- The energy saving potential of these products is the most valuable benefits.
- You’ll save money on energy bills throughout the year with added insulation from the heat.
Since 1954, Builders Hardware Inc. has been supplying Florida’s building industry with quality hardware and door products. The company was founded by Mr. Les Godwin, a fourth generation native Floridian. Along with his sons, Jesse and Joel, Les is expanding BHI’s position as the preferred distributor in Florida. Their building products include:
- Pre-Hung Entry Systems
- Decorative Door Glass
- Door Hardware
- Door Locks & Pocket Locks
- Thresholds & Astragals
HydroShield Technology on All Exterior Doors
Our exclusive HydroShield Technology protects our doors against moisture and humidity infiltration, by creating a fully composite barrier that encases and protects the door on all six sides. It prevents warping, delamination, corrosion, rotting, and the buildup of mold and mildew. Our doors with HydroShield Technology used with our Polyfiber (PF) Door Frames create an enhanced, impenetrable entryway.
BHI’s fiberglass exterior doors have been shown to meet regional standards for energy efficiency and conservation. Fiberglass doors are one of the most energy-efficient due to their good insulation. Buildings in the U.S. use over 60 percent of electrical demand. Homes and buildings that use energy efficient building products use a third less energy and can save 40 to 60 percent of energy over non ENERGY STAR qualified doors offering homeowners savings by using less electricity.
BHI Doors is a collection of best-in-class components (doors, doorglass, frames, astragals, weather seals, thresholds, locksets, and hardware) used to create entry systems with enduring good looks and superior performance. The majority of our door systems are tested to the HVHZ (High Velocity Hurricane Zone) standards, the most stringent hurricane codes ANYWHERE in the United States. Most all of the BHI Door systems meet the minimum Florida Energy code. Great craftsmanship, beautiful glass patterns, multiple finish hardware options, superior construction, and energy-saving features all come together in a wide range of entry systems that enhance the value of your home and add beauty to everyday living.
